I’m trying to find an application / website or database that will allow me to look at air pollution PM 2.5 data over time. For example, I’d like to look at the PM 2.5 index for the city of Taichung for every day in 2016.
Can anyone recommend a way to do this?
None of the smart phone apps that I know of will represent data this way.
Thanks. Downloading the spread sheet data is useful. Although…I seem to be getting some mismatches from this daily data and the third-party apps on my phone.
How big are the mismatches? Their units are the same?
They are measured value. If the two values are obtained from two different measuring devices, or at two different timings or two different locations, they can be different.
Found a new (to me) site for getting some AQI data. I put it in a table just to see for myself, but thought somebody else might find it useful. Columns are “percentage of days since Jan. 2017 with AQI between X and Y”. The “Overall” column I made up myself so it’s non-scientific but I wanted a “single number” to get a sense of relative overall quality. The formula I used: 0-50 = 4 points, 51-100 = 2 points, 101-150 = 0 points, 150+ = -1 point (and then normalized so that max = 10).
