Don’t they have a branch in your country?

I don’t know you are Asian or not, but the below page lists their branches in Asia.

From First Bank’s website: (02)2348-1111 and 0800-031-111. Not toll free for you, but you can call them on Skype for cheap.

I’m no expert. But from own my experience, I was unable to close financial accounts that I had originally opened using an ARC years ago, because that ARC had subsequently expired. They would not accept my valid passport for the purposes of closing these accounts. Also, I was physically standing in front of them and not just a voice dialing up from overseas.

I am guessing from your messages that you have already withdrawn your money, and you’re just worried about your former boss using the account for illegal activities under your name. If that guess is right, you can at least try talking to the bank over the phone and explain to them the situation.

Frankly I’d be surprised if the phone people know how to handle this. But maybe it’s worth a shot. Mega Bank had to pay a huge fine in the US for money laundering facilitation, so I guess the other state banks are perhaps now aware of the potential regulatory dangers of doing nothing about fake name accounts.

If I am assuming too much here, my apologies.
