This place has fantastic soup and fried noodles, the thick, handmade variety. I prefer the pork noodles to the beef but the beef noodles are great too. Lots of other dishes to choose from as well - all excellent.
My fav in this cold weather.

Great handmade beef noodles here but get there early - it’s always very crowded.
四川段純貞牛肉麵
Been to the one in Hsin Zhu and it was crazy awesome. Well worth the 30 minute wait. They have a Taipei branch by 101.
They also have branch near Taipei Main Station, in the S quare B3F.
I rarely go to places with a line. A line usually means it’s popular because someone famous went there, or it’s cheap, or there was some crazy story in the news recently bringing it to attention.

段純貞 IS the shit though. My absolute favourite beef noodles.
The Du Hsiao Yueh Dan Zi Mian, 度小月擔仔麵, shop in Tainan. All the food is good, not just the noodles. Must visit.
