As you may know, a few years I wrote and published a book about Taiwan, which got a very nice review from the Taipei Times:
taipeitimes.com/News/archive … 0000101263
I’ve been selling this book through Caves and amazon.co.uk and a few other places ever since. The other day, while emptying out a box of books in my storeroom, I found 37 copies were damaged in some way - by light or by gecko crap. I can’t sell those copies, so I’m going to give them away to people who’ve done a good deed recently.
What counts as a good deed? Donating to forumosa or wikipedia, for a start. But I’m open minded; pm me with brief details of your good deed, and I’ll send you a book (while stocks last).
If possible, provide your snail mail address in Chinese.
If you’d prefer a pristine copy of the book, try Caves (for odd reasons, the branches in Tainan and Kaohsiung shift a lot more copies than the branches up north). Failing that, pm me.
A good day to you all,
Steve
