I’m new to the island and my PC died during transit. Looks like the package was pierced by a massive pole and it’s has killed my motherboard. The PC is built custom and the mobo is about 5 years old aka not worth insurance claim and time for an upgrade.
In Australia, I’d do all my research and purchasing online, I know there is a street in Kaohsiung with a great deal of PC stores and have walked down it before.
I guess my question is how is the best way of going about the process? I’m basically going to need mobo, cpu, gfx, ram, and a new case. Do you go to one store and ask for a discount for the whole lot? Do you go in with your list of what you want and don’t deviate? How much do you bargain with stores? Anyone have recommendations especially for an English speaker?
I’m just feeling way out of my element here as I’ve always relied on online shopping for my last few upgrades. Any help would be much appreciated!
