Can adults be adopted in Taiwan?

Unlike the passports of most Taiwanese, my son’s Taiwanese passport doesn’t have a romanized Chinese name; it has his Chinese name in characters and his English name (he was born in Taiwan). I would expect naturalized citizens have similar looking passports.

Ideas like that are what lead to the “do you have any other nationality?” question on forms, or in some cases just “have you ever entered this country with a passport issued by any other country?” or the like.

Ah, you could be right. Hopefully somebody such as @coolingtower, @Satellite_TV or @Poagao can confirm. I’m super curious about this.
