Can you visit the abandoned amusement park on the river next to the bridge crossing from taipei to tianmu

I see that abandoned amusement park everytime I cross from tianmu and back on the bridge or the mrt. Does anyone know if you can go and check it out?

That’s the one near Yuanshan, right? I’ve wondered about it too.

Last time I was there the gate was locked, but some people had jumped over it and were wandering around inside. Nobody was stopping them. For those who don’t know, that was the original site of the Taipei Zoo.

I thought it was the old taipei children’s rec park or something

The zoo was originally right next to the kiddie park, and later the park was incorporated into the zoo.

Yep. The old zoo, and then Children’s Fairyland.
The old zoo moved south to Mucha 30 years ago; Children’s Fairyland moved northwest to Shilin about 4 years ago.

What are they going to do with the old site? Seems like a prime spot for something.
