China claims everything is a success.
The article says the Chinese claimed the test was considered a success, because it was able to produce a small amount of plasma. It does not mean the Chinese are claiming they have a fully operational death star.

As much as there are serious problems/faults/oddities with the PRC, sometimes I really question the anti-PRC sentiment. Mountains out of molehills?
Don’t forget, not too long ago, some scientists in the West claimed to have created cold fusion.
