my point is still that at that point, the cost of war would be pretty bad for both sides, especially taiwan as it’s the country being invaded. I’m trying to say. Make invading so costly to the PLA before they can even land significant troops on the island that they won’t make that move even if they win. The PLA will realistically still win with things like urban tanks and other stuff taiwan has invested in.

The Chinese have recreated the naval harbor of Suao in the middle of the Taklamakan desert for mock missile strike and invasion simulations.
