Do you guys open the windows of your apartment to air it out? Or keep the windows closed with the dehumidifier running?
Personally, I keep mine closed. Outside is just as humid or worse. If it’s a sunny and dry day, I might open them up for a bit. But, for the most part, my place is closed down…and dry!

That is what I was thinking, opening he windows will let in humid air.
How many ping is your place about? You just use 1 dehumidifier?
My place is about 20-odd ping, but the dehumidifier was from when I lived in a small studio apartment. It still works good enough to keep the place dry. I just leave it in the small hallway where the two bedrooms and kitchen merge. And the hallway opens up to the dining/living room area.
On a noticeably humid day, I’ll empty it before work and it will be full (already automatically shut off) or just about full when I get home. Those days I empty it twice a day.

I leave a crack in the window to let air flow through when I’m sleeping so it doesn’t get too stuffy, but once the weather gets cooler, that window(s) will get shut.
