Do you know what kind of insect it is? It looks a lot like an ant but it was bigger. I found it on a high mountain, it’s not a kind of insect I often see in Yilan at sea level.
They have a Water Dance activity in Bitan these days, up to April. Every evening, almost every half hour, there is a music, water and light display. Takes only 5 minutes, but it is quite charming. And the whole business area is reinvigorated, when usually in winter it is dead. Kudos to whoever got the idea to bring this to Bitan, very effective marketing tool.
A bit to the unitiated. But it is a special treat to celebrate. You do not have this kind of stuff every day in teh ol country. That is what makes it so special.
And it is fresh, hand made. A lot healthier than store bought doughnouts or even bread. Heck, it’s got fiber in it.
However, after I told my pal you guys said it looked like a voodoo doll -and seriously, it did scare one of my coworkers- she promised to send prettier ones next year.
