Does an ARC allow re-entry?

Hey y’all, first off: thanks everyone here for helping me navigate working and living in Taiwan, y’all’re amazing.

My husband and I (finally) have our single entry resident visas (I have an ARC, he just has the visa). He just got a job, so we were considering saving up to travel during winter vacation. BUT, does single entry mean we are ‘stuck’ in Taiwan until our current visas expire?

No biggie if so, I was having trouble finding the info on the Google.

Thanks,

Emily

If I’m not mistaken and if policy hasn’t changed, if you have an ARC, you can enter and exit as many times as the ARC is valid.

Check the front of your ARC, it should state “Multiple Re-entry Permit”

I assume you’re already in Taiwan, so you don’t need to enter. Iirc they give you a a zero entry visa if they want you to be stuck.

Anyway, once you both have ARC’s you should be fine.
