Earthquakes 2016

I thought they were throwing boxes upstairs. When that happens it is usually BOOM SHAKE BOOM SHAKE. But this one started like that and then the tremor intensified and caught speed and then it went on and on and on…
16th floor in Zhongshan area. I grabbed my wallet and phone while it was still going on and ran down to the ground floor.

Zero people in the stairwell. Zero people in the lobby. I definitely overreacted.
Some of the offices had people screaming here.
I got an automated alert on my phone! Had to turn it off and on a few times.

Yup, co-workers started screaming, I heard it in the elevator lobby on my way to the stairwell.

Funny, my gf has Taiwan Mobile and she didn’t get a notification.

I’m on Taiwan mobile iPhone 6…don’t remember signing up for anything but got the alerts.

Yeah I didnt sign up for anything but got an alert. Who’s behind this?

Was that another one, 1 minute ago? (12:31pm) I guess it was…

Rocking again :astonished:
I’ve got an iPhone 6s, service with Taiwan Mobile, no alerts for me.

That one almost felt worse.

5.5, also off the coast of Yilan, but probably not an aftershock.

Course these could all be pre-shocks.

Yeah, probably.

I’m wondering if that app thing gets you a message before the quake hits or does it just add to the chaos? Can you program it to play Benny Hill music or something equally fitting?

CBW has six earthquakes of the coast of Yilan today.

Near Turtle Island? Any signs of increased volcanic activity?

Turtle Island coords are 24°50′31″N 121°57′06″E

Kinda ruining our lunch time, right?

My thoughts are with you, Yilan residents.

Another 16 floors down to the lobby at the 12:29 quake.

I really wish I hadn’t forgotten my Fitbit today.
