Everyone loves a fun party

Drumroll please!

Introducing… the People Rich Party! :money_mouth:

(No, it’s not a mistranslation by the TT, as you can see from the photo. Fun though the English name sounds, it doesn’t hold a candle to Japan’s Happiness Realization Party or Hong Kong’s Demosisto. :2cents: )

Aside from unification and the things one would expect to go with it, this party proposes:

  • the Thai-ification of the tourism industry
  • legalized gambling
  • cutbacks in the civil service (just not pensions)
  • “subsidies for start-ups by young people”
  • a $30,000 minimum wage by 2024

That’s convenient. If the party has its way, the ROC won’t even exist by then. Are the Commies gonna pick up the tab?

Eh? They’re going to have “foreigner prices”, tourist tuktuks operated by drug addicts and psychopaths, and official scams to part tourists from their cash? Taiwan add oil!

The civil service is already at its lowest, and getting less and less… unless you count the fat cats with pensions living in from housing that is supposed to be the govts but they use, sell and profit from. However, most work in public sector nowadays is subcontracted…to the lowest bidder.

Seems like a lot of pro unification parties have been set up recently, one might think there’s money to be made from the mainland with this ploy… :2cents:
