The current government has a habit of performing executions, or press high profile charges in order to divert national attention away from things they wish to hide.

Examples:

April 19, 2013: 6 people executed. Just that March, a former Ma Ying-jeou Taipei city mayor aid Lai Shu-ru was charged with corruption for the Taipei Twin Tower project which Ma green-lighted.

April 29, 2014: 5 people executed. That execution took place right at the heels of the Sun flower movement, and people exposed the fact that the executive yuan was secretly smuggling the trade in goods agreement by holding phantom public hearings.

June 5, 2015: 6 people executed. Then DPP presidential candidate Tsai Ying-wen was having a high profiled visit to the US.

This trend goes all the way back to 2010.

Actually the only famous Taiwanese person whose name is in the papers is that actor.

If there was any name of the relatives of the government official, we would know it a few months ago, like Cameron, Xi, the Icelandic PM etc.

The current Australian Prime Minister, Malcolm Turnbull, is on the list. The release of this information is rather inconvenient timing for him as he’s in an election campaign right now trying to show the common touch.

My takeaway from the original poster is that anybody surnamed “Ma” is corrupt.

Only when their transcribed name matches exactly to the president’s children and relatives.
