Football/Soccer In Taipei

Hi all.

I have not logged into here for a long time. A lot has happened since I started my kick about group 1 year ago.

We have moved kick abouts to Saturdays because we also created a competitive team which is playing in the cpl (foreign run league in Taipei) and we are also sponsored by the Brass Monkey and create a lot of social events for watching football together there.

We had to keep the casual facebooks group name the same as I cannot change it to Saturday football and beers without losing all the group members who joined.

So this is a rundown.

We have kick abouts every saturday, currently we don’t charge for them because we are homeless. (I am searching frantically for a new home for our group if anyone knows anywhere that is not shipai, bailing, or dajia please let me know) for the casual players please go to this link. we play every saturday 3-5.30ish currently meeting at da an mrt station 2.30 every week. its best to join the group then you can see the details and if it is cancelled due to the weather:

If you are looking for something a bit more serious or competitive this is the facebook page for our team that is currently playing in the cpl, we also join other tournaments around the island, and we will join the victory 6’s. (foreign run 6 a side league on a tuesday night.)

Hello everyone! I’m from the uk, recently moved to taiwan. I’m looking to play football on a regular basis or maybe even join a team, anywhere i can play near Nangang area? :ponder:

I heard Real Madrid has serious plans to visit Taiwan as soon as possible.

A load of bullshit that has been claimed before in Taiwan.
Why would the biggest club in the world play football in a country that allows a handful of fans free entry for their home games?
There is no market and if they did come here, how would the promoter get their money back?

Anyone looking to join a football/soccer team who is arriving this summer check us out.

hi guys, i am new here in Taipei and i love futsal. i am looking for a futsal community which i can join and play. it can be competition or training or even just playing. PM me if you have any information or if you know someone who loves to play too. thanks!

I also recently moved here and am looking for a place to play soccer.

Indoor or outdoor, both are fine. Pick up soccer or organized leagues are both fine as well.

Just looking for a place to get some exercise and meet a few people!

85 days to the World Cup, guys and gals, get ready!!!

I’m looking to play football in Taichung, is there any FC in Taichung or Changhua?

My friend would like to play football. He is very fit and enthusiastic ( and graceful)

Hello!

Anyone knows about pick-up soccer/football or soccer/football at Taida?

Thanks!

How do you go about finding/joining a team?

Getting bored lately so would love to find a team to join. I play in goal, I am/was fairly decent when I was younger. Played for my school team, a Sunday league side, had trials at one or two clubs but honestly, haven’t kicked a ball since I left school and packed it all in about 10 years ago so I’ve no idea if I’ve still got it or not :stuck_out_tongue:

Your best bet is to search Football in taipei on Facebook.

I did so when I got here and there a number of teams in the Taipei area.

Does anyone know of any teams that are for or welcoming to women?

That’s an interesting question. For some reason I’ve never heard of a women’s team here. I can hook you up with rugby, touch rugby and Gaelic football. Just not soccer.

Anyone looking a for player?

Hi ! I want to ask about Futsal field ( 5 vs 5 ) in Taipei?
Currently I am living near Shida (Yongkang Street)
Where is the nearest futsal field arround here? and I just only have one friend here to play. Can we just come and directly play or what should we have to do?

Hi All,
Would be arriving in Taiwan in November 2015 for 3 weeks.
Anywhere I can play casual game?

Hello I am 18 years old Turkish Guy this august I will move Taiwan I want join a Football Club I am playing football for 11 years and I am semi-pro but i don’t have a footballer licence (I cancelled to buy) also I want join CTFA National Team please help me Thank You

If you are trying to follow Onur Dogan’s foot step, Dogan had three things going for him before he naturalized and played for CTFA.

  1. He was already married to a Taiwanese woman.
  2. He was playing for Tatung’s football team, which his wife got him a chance to tryout.
  3. He was also enrolled at the then Taipei Physical Education College (University of Taipei today).

He played so well that CTFA fought for him to get naturalized.

Trying out for a team or go to a Physical Education university probably will be your best bet. Teams in the City Tournaments:
