Fan death is a myth and misconception, well known in Korean culture, that running an electric fan in a closed room with unopened or no windows can lead to death. Despite no concrete evidence to support the concept, fan death persists due to its popularity as an urban myth or superstition.
I can’t even keep up with the Taiwan and Chinese keeping-me-alive superstitions.
Watching local TV news, I am perpetually amazed at the number and variety of vitamin-type nostrums that will, I gather, restore youth and vigor to the elderly, cure the common cold, and in general help one’s body to fight malevolent cartoon body-thetans.
