I found out this morning, that,

at least, in Central Taiwan, Taichung area,

You can process your paperwork related to immigration at your local Household Registration Office.

Once a month only. Started ‘recently’ a few weeks ago.

Ask for it. This is a HUGE help for me.

Awesome! Hope it sticks and is expanded, though. They used to work until 8pm before, once a week. Very convenient for cubicle dwellers who cannot travel to the boondocks during lunchtime.

Well it’s more like… there is a representative of the NIA coming to the HRO to help you write down the application form and check the documents.
