Other things that helped us foam rolling. And actually working out my back. Stretching and foam rolling the hip is also important.

Plus avoid sitting in a office lol.

Stretching is a big part of avoiding back pain for me. Just when I don’t, then I need some help from Dr. Chen. The hip flexors and neck muscles are key for me. Sitting at a desk with my bad posture over a laptop is why I have pain. Dr, Chen does deep tissue massage which can be very uncomfortable when you are already in pain. Basically, it involves a Dusty Rhodes bionic elbow to my hips and scary neck stretches and then time to adjust the bones. It usually takes one or two treatments and then I’m good for a few years until my bad habits catch up with me. I need his help every few years and then always wonder why I wait until I’m in terrible pain to make the appointment. If he can’t help you, he will tell you that too.
Dr. Chen is a physical therapist with a pilates studio and promotes that we need to keep moving to avoid pain.
