Gyms, pools in central Taipei?

I need membership for 2 months (Sept-Octo) at a central Taipei gym. Looking for a place with weights, cardio machines, showers and steam room etc. How much and where exactly could I find such a thing? Thanks.

Also, where are the best swimming pools in central Taipei? Larger the better.

Try the ShiDa university swimming pool.

I did a search and most of the information (gym-wise) is out of date. :wink:

The biggest public pool complex is at Youth Park. Indoor and outdoor. Cheap.

I just saw a news show with some pissed off woman outside of california fitness. it sems that they would not let her out of her contract. their policy is for a 2 day window to cancel but she said when she went back the next day they told her they were too busy and to come back later and when she did they said it was too late.
this guy that looked 'lawyerish" said that they must give you 30 days to back out of that kind of written contract and that there were lots of complaints about their business practices.
anyways the program was in chinese so i might have misunderstood some of it.
