Hi. I would like to work in Taiwan as a math teacher. I will be bringing my wife who has hepatitis B. Will she be allowed into Taiwan, and maybe work as a nurse? I cannot find a government policy on this.
Thank you!

Working as a nurse might be tricky, she’d need fully fluent Mandarin Chinese and pass the licensing examinations for Taiwan which I know nothing about.
Judging from the health certificate form for residence permit application which is available here http://www.roc-taiwan.org/uploads/sites/7/2012/03/居留或定居健康檢查項目表.pdf it seems that Hepatitis B is not an issue for residency in Taiwan. Work permit might be different and it probably depends on which industry you want to work in, there might be issues with Hepatitis B working in the health industry.
Sorry I couldn’t be of more help hopefully somebody with more knowledge can point you in the right direction.
Thank you 11173, that is very good information. We will try to look for other avenues for her, perhaps schooling.
Hi. is hepatitis b considered contagious?
according to II paragraph f in the link below, those with contagious diseases are banned from entry.
