Hotel copied my passport *literally*

Well that was uncomfortable. I’m on a long biz trip in China. Everything was peachy till the fifth day. Hotel called me twice in the day saying information is registered wrong and I need to hurry back to avoid any problems with the 公安. I’ve never had any problem of the sort before. So the front desk lady took my passport to the back room to photocopy. To my surprise she came back with a stack of paper!! Even pages where there are visa or entry stamps were photocopied. Any one met similar?

not had any problems, just miserble bastard hotel staff, i could almost call them a problem… its quite common to have hassles with hotels in china as they need to register foreigners in the local police stations.

It’s China. Just don’t watch a documentary about Genghis Khan in your hotel room, and you should be fine.

It’s China. Just don’t spend any time reading President Tsai and Trump phone call news articles and you should be fine

Oh fellas, lol.

Forget it, Jake. It’s Chinatown.
