Led Zeppelin, the greatest cover band in rock n roll history!
Ouch! But their live performances…not just a copycat band for sure. And thank God for their blues covers. Zeppelin and other British rock bands basically re-introduced America to the blues- basically kept the blues alive. Oftentimes this was done by covering the music of others. Perfectly acceptable in blues and jazz in my opinion.
