Import/export/restaurant info wanted

Hi there,

I am looking for the following info.

  1. What are the demands for imported seafood from Europe, assuming that price is acceptable for such.
  2. Following #2 , what is the demand/price of a dried seafood, specifically dried abalones at a restaurant price? (locally caught/processed, imported from China…whatever info I can obtain is extremely useful.)
  3. Anyone has a website about importing tariff regarding seafood?

I’m stuck and any info I can get would be greatly appreciated!

Ray

You want to import seafood to an island? Sorry it doesn’t answer your question, but i not sure if thats the best idea?

TBF, there is a lot of money to be made from importing seafood here. Especially crabs, lobsters and sea cucumbers.

Crabs, lobsters I see. Like Hokkido crabs or main lobsters etc. But whats in europe?

Loads of stuff. I know Ireland sells whelks for big money to China

Well, I am looking for price and how much the dried abalones are being consumed. I don’t need specific numbers, but a guesstimate. Can anyone provide this?

Thank you!

The Dutch catch and dig up a lot of sea creatures they don’t eat, export them to southern Europe and Asia.
