Heard some traffic lights were not working in some parts of the city

Some secret source whispered to me that Taipower might shut down electricity in other areas soon (this evening). Don’t know if anything will happen, but I would avoid using elevators at the moment.
I wanted to do that for our townhouse, but the security people, or whatever they are called, community police(?) said that it was not allowed.
