Mould on clothes

I live by the mountains near 101 and it seems like every time I go into my closet I discover another thing thats covered in mould/mildew. I know, it’s nasty…haha. I have tried using the dehumidfier containers that fill up with water and the little packet things that smell nice but nothing has worked! Anyone else have this problem? Any suggestions on getting a hold of this pesky problem??? I really don’t want to keep checking my clothes every second day…haha. Any help would be great!!!

Hi pokey!

If you run a Search (see upper right of screen) for ‘humidity’, ‘mold’, ‘mould’ etc., select ‘topics’ rather than ‘posts’, and select the Living in Taiwan forum, you’ll find a number of threads dealing with this issue. For example,

mold is a real tuff problem in humid taiwan. I always kept my leather jacket in my car even in summer because it would mold immediately. The clothes? just make sure that they are not packed inside a closet. And there is plenty of space between your clothes. IF you do have a well sealed house however, you can keep a couple of heaters on and that will reduce your household humidity then you have a chance at keeping mold at bay. A drafty house tho? good ruck as they say.
