Presidential Offices outside Taipei

I can’t find the thread about moving the capital to Taichung (or somewhere), so here’s a new thread.

It gives a new meaning to “Go South”!

Things are definitely going south. I think that’s something we can all agree on.

Honestly, whoever had the great idea of clustering the Government administration was a bit loopy… No room for expansion…so they cut staff and sublet and subhire… Sigh. And yes, I do understand about “watching the world with Taipei Perspective”. Problem is that if all the employees are from the One Party, One State, One Great China mentality, -and if they are not, then they are labeled traitors and their lives made hell- little can change.

In the public service sector there are few Southeners that value the South. Most older than 40, educated under Martial Law, sees the South through Northern eyes. Hence, they hate it and hate themselves. What policies or practical projects can come out of those heads?
