Previous back injury: second health exam for conscription

So I had my first military health exam a few weeks back. I noted that I had a herniated disc a few years back during college in the states. I brought my MRI results but the doctors at the exam said they could not accept reports that were not done in Taiwan. They had me do another MRI here in Taiwan, and the results/reports said I still have a bulging disc touching a nerve.

I turned in the report however a lady called me the day after and said I would have to go back to the hospital and do more tests. She mentioned two different tests and said if I failed one of them I may just have to continue with my alternative service(teach English), if I failed both I would not have to do conscription at all.

Anyone ever had this situation before? Was wondering what the two tests consist of?

Thanks.
