Hi there, I was wondering… If I enter Taiwan on a visitor visa for the purpose of studying Chinese, and then convert it to a Resident Visa (for continuing study of Chinese), am I able to remain in Taiwan after the conclusion of the Chinese studies (if I obtain a work permit?). I understand that to obtain the resident visa while I am a student, I will need to submit proof of my class registration, attendance, etc… So I am wondering if there will be another process to go through after the Chinese studies are done, if i want to remain in Taiwan just to work?.. Because I guess that Resident Visa was issues under the conditions that I was there to STUDY and not work, right? So, is it as simple as going to an office and showing them the work permit or is there more involved?
