Rough ride in Hukou

I’m spending a few weeks with my inlaws in Hukou. In the past three days there have been two blackouts, including last night. My wife tells me that perhaps there is some type of construction work going on. wtf :eh: surely they wouldn’t just interrupt our electricity without give some type of warning, eh?

And now at 7:30am, the night after a mysterious blackout, there have been a few fighter jets circuling the town. Obviously, they are making a thundering racket. Which has got me all paranoid thing, why the fudge would they choose such an early time to disturb the populace if there wasn’t some unplanned occurance.

Am I right to be paranoid?

PS: the fighter jets have been gone now for 10 mins.

Where is Hukou? Is that near the secret ara where Taiwan keeps it space aliens?

It is in Hsinchu County. It has some type of Army base as well, perhaps even an air field???

Hsinchu has the French Mirage 2000 fighter based at the airport so that is probably the fighter jet.

Somebody forgot to tell them the pandas have arrived already. They just got the memo they need to take to the air to escort the EVA jet in??

That or that since the power is out, they cant play mahjong so may as well get started on some training?

That or maybe something else?? Ya the space aliens camp sounds right :slight_smile:
