I remembered that I often see/hear geckos when I go on the roof at night, so I decided to bring him upstairs after dark. I let him out of his plastic box and he stood still for a moment before running away. I was very glad to see he can run around easily. He also has no damaged skin, so he should be able to do alright.
The moment I locked the door to get back inside the building, he run under into and came back as well. Some people may suggest that it’s because inside it’s much warmer (there was a large storm in yilan today), but I think it was just like those movies where a kid has to let his dog/cat go and tries to set him free, put the pet comes back.
Hopefully he’ll be alright. He’s now in an area of the building that’s pretty far from the sticky stuff, so he should be able to avoid it.
