Am I correct that, starting in January 2017, men born before 1994 will all be diverted towards 1 year of alternative service instead (but still must do 1 year?)
Also, will it be 12 months or 14 months?
I was born in 1988 and have to serve the maximum of 1 year and 15 days in alternative service.
I wouldn’t have high hopes for that… That was the plan for 2015, but before the year 2015 came, the recruitment rate was very low so they change their mind and pushed it to 2017 instead of 2015. So if the recruitment rate is still low, they might still push it further.
