South Africa under Zuma

Any comments on South Africa’s future under the possible leadership of the newly elected leader of the ruling African National Congress (ANC), Jacob Zuma?

While the ANC has largely supported moderate policies under Mandela and Mbeki, it is also steeped in revolutionary history and honors murderers (e.g Fidel Castro and Che Guevara) as guerillas to be admired. The contributions of European and North American countries to apartheid’s demise are sometimes overlooked. Current US policy in Iraq is a prickly topic.

Mr Zuma won the leadership contest against Mbeki with the support of Left-wingers including the South African Communist Party and the trade union federation Cosatu, raising fears of radical change were he to become national president.

He closed the party conference by singing his trademark song Umshini Wami [Bring Me My Machine Gun].

Its quite obvious what the roots of the ANC are and always have been. Something that until recently has been carefully omitted by the media when paying homage to Mandela and the other ANC…Comrades as they now so openly refer to themselves.

Charges to come? How long did Winnies ‘football team’ play their necklace games?

Hopefully the removal of the Parasite that was Zuma , will be a slight improvement for S.A.
