  • Introduction
The countdown to the Lunar New Year is beginning! Everybody is getting busy for the New Year’s Eve’s dinner- the most anticipated meal of the year for Taiwanese people. While sumptuous meals have become commonplace, we also notice that the price of seafood has increased and the size of fish on the market has shrunk. According to research from Science, we may not have any fish to eat in the ocean by 2048.The contents of our future tables will neither be decided by our food preference nor predatory ability, but rather what is left in nature. Will our tables feature only cnidarian-abundant dishes during the New Year in the future? You and I can make a difference, starting from being a responsible consumer. Every one of us is capable of recovering nature with the power of consumption, and achieving a sustainable New Year’s table for our future.

The 2017 Sustainable New Year’s Table Project has come up with a new event- food expo! You will be able to taste delicious New Year’s cuisines which use sustainable seafood, for free! Come to Nanmen Park this Saturday to learn more!
