What’s the problem with the opening ceremony?
Except for the first few teams, the athletes are not entering the arena anymore. Instead, there is only a Taiwanese carrying the flag of the introduced country.
I wonder what the reason is, this way the ceremony is really dull…

Some interesting things I noticed during the opening ceremony:

The announcements were in the languages: Chinese, English and… French? Shouldn’t it be Spanish? I mean, there are more Spanish speaking counties that joined the event than French speaking ones…

Most of the countries delegations didn’t followed their respective flags… Any reason for that? Politics, maybe?
So, I am watching this opening ceremony and thinking 2 things…
- Isn’t there a better expenditure of taxpayer money?
and…
- Why is it impossible to find a list of participating nations?
French is the working language of the FISU.
The police couldn’t evict a couple hundreds of old protesters. I guess it’s pretty evident that they didn’t even try and were instructed to let them bring more embarrassment.
