Tom Petty… at death’s door.
Last I heard Tom Petty was in a serious condition but showing improvement. Has he taken a turn for the worse?
I read about the heart attack last night and today most sites said they disconnected him. But since last official* updates were 4 hours ago, and in this era of false news, he might be legally and technically speaking alive. I mean, when Carrie Fisher had her heart attack she lasted almost a day, they tried everything. Petty may still have a chance but difficult.
*by official I mean quotes by his daughter and TMZ
I dunno, it feels a bit off to be predicting entry into the Morgue.
Hopefully it can become one of those brushes with death and escaped this time.
Unfortunately, it’s now official.
His music will no doubt live on.

I grew up listening to his music. Really brings a tear to the eye.
Benson was very popular where I come from.
I liked him in both Benson and Soap when I was a kid, but I haven’t seen either of those shows in a few decades; I have no idea how well or poorly they’d hold up.
The first obituary I read said he was most famous for the role of Rafiki in The Lion King, and I thought, no, that’s not right. (I don’t think I even knew it was him.)
