The Morgue 2018

I’m opening this one because I think it doesn’t exist yet. Also I put it in The Temp because I’m not very familiar with anything outside it and can’t find a proper place for this thread.

So you guys didn’t care about this one?

Dolores O’Riordan, January 15th, 46 years old.

R. Lee Ermey, 74, best known as the drill sergeant in Full Metal Jacket.

Died of “complications from pneumonia,” as did my father.

Guess he can make his happy birthday wishes in person now. RIP

Carl Kasell, of complications from Alzheimer’s. If you’re an American of a certain age, and you listened to the terminally liberal NPR’s Morning Edition program for as long as I did (or the program Wait Wait … Don’t Tell Me), it’s a mortal coil made stark plain.

1st Lady Barbara Bush

Avicii. Only 28 years old.

Didn’t even know who he was until I saw the news report.

Saw that news on a news agregator. I think I can say that I don’t give a shit.

VerneTroyer from Austin Powers and Harry Potter died.

The original Morgue 2018 was started by @mad_masala in Temp and subsequently shut down, so I’m starting a new one.

Bob Dorough, 94, of Schoolhouse Rock!

It was still alive. I combined them

Excellent, Dr. Frankenstein.

And still my contribution to this site is questioned.

Frankensteining yourself is a bit different. It’s like… actually cancel that thought. I won’t profane the memory of Bob Dorough with a dirty joke. :speak_no_evil:

No idea what you’re saying.

Preparing myself for a hike, will try to forget all the insults and humiliation.

Margot Kidder, age 69. Lois Lane in the only Superman movie I ever watched all the way through. Was married to American novelist Tom McGuane at one time, I believe.

Fuck I’m getting old. I remember when when she was way hot.

RIP

Writer Tom Wolfe, 88

Whoa, rest in peace, Mr. Wolfe. I wonder if he’s specified in his will that he wants to be cremated by bonfire? That would be the way to go. I’ll have to start rereading my favorite Wolfe books in his honor.
