I’m going to the Philippines through Philippine airlines and I’m going to bring my Giant folding bicycle with a hard case from the Giant store. I’ve looked into the website of Philippine airlines but there are minimal details. I have a free baggage allowance of 30kg and I added 10kg of weight. How is this going to be processed when I check in at Taoyuan airport? This is my first time flying a folding bicycle so I’m not sure of the procedure.

It’s pretty horrible reading, but if you want all the details, that’s where they live.

Which seems to indicate that a bike can be included in your free baggage allowance.
Though, https://www.philippineairlines.com/TravelInformation/BeforeYouFly/BaggageInformation/SpecialBaggage/SportsEquipment indicates that you may need to “pre-book” sports equipment.
