I am a US citizen, my wife is ROC/US citizen and we are married only here in the US. We are planning to move to Taiwan and I’ve run across something that is unclear. From my research it seems we need to:
- Register marriage in Taiwan
- Apply for JFRV
- Apply for ARC
I keep seeing notes on the application instructions that someone with a landing visa is not allowed to get an ARC. Does the JFRV satisfy the requirement to have a ‘real’ visa? Or do I need to get a visitor visa before we head over the register our marriage?
