Weird.
I got an email from my Team Leader informing him that I have a metric fuckload of Personal Leave days accrued and that he should encourage me to develop a more “balanced lifestyle” (presumably by taking some of them).
I can’t really grok what their dog is in this, TBH.
That doesn’t sound like he encouraged you.
Probably a bright-eyed intern or something.

You know how I can tell the e-mail wasn’t real?

I took off 3 weeks this vacation, you should do it. Do you get paid vacation days?

What holds you back then? Will your workload build up if you take days off?

The question is why is HR pushing my TL to get me to take them.

Perhaps they’ve noticed you’ve been sticking pencils up your nose and shouting ‘wibble’?

Mmmm…tazos. Wait, what’s a tazo?
Does your company not pay you for the unused PDOs from the year? Mine rolled over last month and I was reimbursed for the one I hadn’t used.

Only when you leave the company, and then, maybe.
Otherwise they just keep building up, like mine.
I guess that’s better than a “use it or lose it” policy.
But you should use those days! Take some time and go find that dumpster you’ve been dreaming about ravaging.

Google it
What the hell?! Why couldn’t you have just misspelled tacos?? >.<

Odd indeed.
What are they seriously afraid of? You being overworked?
They want you out of the office so they can gossip about your “gamey odor” and frequent hand-washing behind your back.
