What skills i should bring to taiwan?

Hey guys, me and my wife have moved to EU for now and we will live here for a while. However i do not want to close my door for taiwan completely and maybe if there is a real chance later on in my life, take a shoot yea. As well do not want to underestimate nostalgia my wife must have after years being here, in old “boring” europe. Maybe there will be time she will simple wanna move back. She is kinda typically taiwanese girl. Being closed to parents, siblings and used of life in taiwan. And mostly i get well wit her folks. Marriage politics must be bumpy for everyone, i quess lol.

I know is tough, not much opportunities in taiwan, this is exactly the reason we left in first place. But have to be frank, i simple was not skilled enough for labour market to make a decent life in taiwan. At the same time labour market looks terrible. Over hours, not much of learning curve, on top of that lack of family welfare. … this is the old talk, we all know that yep.

I lived between home and taiwan for like 4 years, half professionally i run online affiliate, generated like 600k - 1 mio twd yearly. However business is shrinking, and with all those hours of work i simple run out of passion.

So I got myself in transition, i do have some online marketing experience, kinda poor bachelor degree in economics (funny never worked in that field) some cash on side, apartment from parents. So i think to myself what to do next. I know like less than 5 % taiwanese have higher salary than 70k twd, however there is still a lot of cash in taiwan, and many people in business earn way more. Yea i can run my own business there, however i want some guarantee i can get a good paid job there in case of business going down like now. Eventually you can get tired of running own business as well

So we hit the nail on the head. What skills i should build up in europe in next 10 - 15 years, i can make my life livable in taiwan at the age of 40. Wife folks are all technicians, and it seems they are doing really fine. Her brother slowly gettin in as well. Was thinking maybe enroll 2 years college for mechanical engineering and start working wit CNC machine. Not sure how much waiguoren can actually do in such “traditional” industry among chinese/ taiwanese. But yea, father in law having own garage business, i suppose his son will take over, and i can eventually join the board. Would make running business easier under brother name. Do just a bit of my online thing, maybe even a bit of english teaching for my soul (no offense, but criteria for english teaching seems low, and hourly is ok) and in meanwhile help brother in law running CNC machines. And be free like i was now to jump to europe, whenever i want, whenever I need. What you think about that? Anyone having own garage manufacturing business in taiwan. Would love to hear your stories

Another option is to learn more coding, more online marketing and move to taiwan once i paid enough taxes in europe (meaning i qualified for pension in europe ). But is annoying cause west having different hours, so sleeping is usually messy as well is soul crushing to me. Maybe one way to go in this profession, is simple teach chinese about it. In next 10 years i can accumulate a lot of experience, probably enough to teach young students. And u know how chinese are, obsess with education and titles, always ready to open their wallets. Maybe jumping to china, give some lectures for few weeks and than chill in taiwan.

Third option is less attractive, work in europe like online marketing specialist and than move to taiwan. Probably mission impossible to be sent there as expats. I saw my wife working for typically taiwanese company. Does not look attractive at all hehe. twd/hours sucks

I will really appreciate your input. Wanna hear stories, what successful waiguorens do on the rock?
