Why the limit of 48 in this device?

So I’m reading information on this energy saving device, a timer for charging.

It says in the description that it can be made ON 48 times a day. So only 48 charging cycles.

Why would such a limit exist on this timer? I can’t figure out what technical limitation limits the number of ONs to 48. Can you?

It seems to have a physical knob control interface with 4 positions per 24 hours for a total of 96. I assume it’s a physical limitation related to this control architecture.
