Working at private schools

What is it like to work at a mid-tier private school in Taiwan, not a cram school but a private bi-lingual school or something, not Taipei American School or TES. (I know those two are at the top and prestigious so would be run differently.)

What is management like?
Do you have to eat shit from the parents?
Were you treated well by co-teachers and other local staff members?
What was your salary like and any added benefits?

They are all different. But I guess one could generalize that they are all businesses. In the end it’s all about filling seats to fill the pockets of the investors, backers and owner.

Parents usually have a lot of pull. They are the customers after all.

Being treated well depends on how you treat others and how you do your job. Everyone’s experience is different.

Typically starting pay is 65,000 to 70,000 depending on your qualifications. Salary usually caps at around 85000 to 90000 after a decade working there.
