Riot police are using BBC guns with pellets in Venezuela and killing people at short range. Same with gas canisters: instead of firing upward to get a curved trajectory, they shoot straight at people. The impact collapses their chest cavities.
The opposition is using fireworks. Problem is they are pretty unreliable and at least one guy got a hole in the chest, through and through, from a single misfired rocket.
Anything kills. Anything can be used as a weapon. But it is already bad enough out there with guns. At least here in Taiwan in traffic jams the possibility of someone going postal and start a rampage with a 22 or an AK 47 is still pretty low. Baseball bats and golf clubs can hurt but compared to what anybody can do with a gun, well, I am grateful it is rare.
