Description of Teachers and Sessions:

Genevieve has been facilitating meditation and personal growth classes and workshops for the past 2 years in Taichung. She is a certified level 3 reiki practicioner and has completed her 200 hour yoga training certification. Transformation begins with self awareness and love. I offer a variety of modalities that allow this door to open and process to occur, for those who are interested.

As a reiki practicioner I work closely with the Chakras. Being aware of the chakras and their affiliations helps you understand your own body and spirit better. This yoga session will lead you through the 7 main chakras and will include poses, mantras and affirmations.

L. Farrah Furtado is Canadian-Portuguese and is a certified Yoga Alliance, Ashtanga yoga teacher ( E-RYT), third degree Usui Reiki master, author of two best-selling award winning books and Director of Kaohsiung Yoga ( RYS 200) and Bend it like Buddha ( RYS 200) in Portugal. She has lived in Asia for over 10 years, studying the healing arts in Buddhist monasteries in Taiwan, Balinese healing with energy masters in Ubud, and has trained in the ancient Ashtanga system with BNS Iyengar for 3 consecutive years in Mysore, India. Iyengar is the last living legend of the lineage of Krishnamacharya, considered the
Father of Modern Yoga. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tirumalai_Krishnamacharya

Yoga Nidra meditation will be led by Farrah to help you activate your Third Eye; the energy center at the brow, between the eyes. Modern science now reinforces what yogis discovered thousands of years ago-that focusing on the Third Eye reactivates hormones located in the pineal gland in center of the brain. Scientific studies confirm that the pineal gland hormone, melatonin, is a powerful agent in helping prevent illness, suppress premature aging, reduce stress, induce more restful sleep, boost the immune system. During Yoga Nidra one is submerged in the alpha state, where brain rhythms drop into the silent space within and promote healing and transformation.

Yoga Nidra is practiced in a comfortable lying down position called Shavasana. Farrah will guide you through a series breathing exercises and simple instructions that you perform mentally.
