10 is the New 15 as Kids Grow Up Faster

Here is an interesting article…
“I’m sure this isn’t the first time in history people have been talking about it. But I definitely feel like these kids are growing up faster - and I’m not sure it’s always a good thing,” says Dr. Liz Alderman, an adolescent medicine specialist at Montefiore Medical Center in New York City. She’s been in practice for 16 years and has noticed a gradual but undeniable change in attitude in that time.

She and others who study and treat children say the reasons it’s happening are both physical and social. Several published studies have found, for instance, that some tweens’ bodies are developing faster, with more girls starting menstruation in elementary school - a result doctors often attribute to improved nutrition and, in some cases, obesity. While boys are still being studied, the findings about girls have caused some endocrinologists to lower the limits of early breast development to first or second grade.
In some ways. Longer lifespans mean that other stuff gets delayed; leaving school, leaving home, getting married, breeding, etc.

When I was teaching in Chicago, it wasn’t uncommon for me to see a 1st grader who was devolping breasts. I was told that it was either diet, or the fact they had been formula feed.

Concern I have is how are the parents and schools handling this early sexual/physical onset. Are the kids being nutured or shamed about their bodies?

Maybe nothing to do with this, I have no idea, but I am reading about more and more rape cases happening in elementary school. Several male classmates raping a female classmate. That is scary…

But wouldn’t that contradict children maturing at a younger age? If everything else is delayed, shouldn’t their development be, as well?

That is scary, but not so surprising. The way they are pushed to grow up and dress and talk like adults at such young ages (the black leather pants in a size 2T and little girl’s sweatpants with “JUICY” written across the ass comes to mind), plus all the hormones and shit they put into foods would cause an effect like this to happen. And for those poor underdeveloped 2nd graders who don’t strut around wearing FCUK shirts and a smirk, don’t complete their 4th grade Career Day research by hanging out in the strip club, and don’t think they’ll die if they graduate from kindergarten with their virginity still intact, are now the freaks.

Sorry to rant, but western civilization, particularly American culture, has had this coming to them.

Yes, it did.
