I was going to say lucky dude, but then again, his whole life is probably tied up in Thailand, so deportation will undoubtedly have it’s own cost.

I expect he won’t serve nearly 10 years though. There was a British guy a few years back who went to Myanmar, made a public commotion . . . so they locked him up for something like 15 years. Of course the British government then pleaded for leniency and I believe they gave in and released him. I expect the same will happen here.

I don’t expect any leniency, well not for awhile at least.

Thailand’s king has pardoned a Swiss man who was sentenced to 10 years in jail for defacing images of him. . . Mr Jufer is expected to be deported as soon as possible, police said.
