yes i’m a suzuki elitist rightly or wrongly… 
TLR’s are strangely few and far between… quite a few were imported before legalization as they were quite dime a dozen at one stage on the 2nd hand market in Europe after they developed the reputation for shaking their heads at the drop of a hat and launching riders into hedges… I know a guy in Taichung who has one, and would probably sell it, but you don’t want it, he’s crashed the hell out of it twice…
2nd hand Busa’s are everywhere, you’ll get a million hits if you search yahoo.com.tw auctions or ebay or whatever… you’d be wise to know your stuff and know what you’re looking for if your going to get one privately… budget about NT$250K - 400K depending on how “pre-thrashed” you like your bikes…
GSX-R’s were none too common until the almighty K5 came along with the “maddest sportsbike in the world” title in tow… that reputation keeps 2nd hand K5’s a hot potato commodity and prices and availability are sure to disappoint the second hand buyer… K4’s and earlier are fairly hard to come by, unless you go way back in the model years and then they’ll be un-plate-able, I’ve been told there were under 10 K4s island wide, but pinch of salt and all that… again I know a guy who had a mint K4 GSXR, until he punctured a hole in the gas tank, did a bodge fix and is now looking for an unsuspecting buyer…

can you tell me more about the 1000TLR?
my uncle had one,after a lifelong commitment to gixers,he said it was different,and for sure the downshifting scared him a few times,but what negative comments did you hear?
that bike looks,sounds awesome…i guess i need to try one since the handling is the main factor
i like the old gixers,i know a place in belgium where they have 2 "89 models with under 1k on the clock,red black and white…my first memories of those bikes are awesome
