I need to get a larger scooter and I’m thinking that a 150cc might be the best comprimise between power and mobility. I’ve heard good things about Yamha but, according to their website they don’t appear to offer anything bigger than 125cc. Is this true? Does anyone have any experience with the more recent models available in the Taiwanese market?
The Riders’ Stylemook Motorcycle & Scooter 2011 catalogue is available in most convenience stores. There you will find all the currently available scooters listed together with their specifications, including engine capacity and power. There are quite a few 150cc scooters, including those manufactured by SYM, PGO and Kymco. There are no Yamahas over 125cc.
Thanks! Is "The Rider’s Stlymook " the actual title of the publication? I’ll have a look next time I’m at the local 7-11. I’ve never heard of PGO do they have their own dealer network here? Odd that Yamaha doesn’t have a model over 125cc.
The actual title seems to be “Motorcycle and Scooter 2011”.
Just above the title, in smaller print, it says “Rider’s Stylemook”.
I bought my copy a couple of months ago, but I’m pretty sure I’ve still seen it on the magazine racks recently.
PGOs are manufactured locally, though I must confess, I haven’t noticed any PGO dealers around. Then again, I’m not really into scooters.
