1945 in Taiwan history

1945 seems to be a pivotal year in Taiwan history. I have checked a number of the Taiwan history websites, but I cannot find specific commentary arranged by month and day. Often as not, the “timeline” just says 1945. That is too vague for my current research project.

In particular, the Nationalist forces came to Taiwan in 1945 after the surrender of the Japanese forces on the USS Missouri. What was the date? Then, what happened on October 25th? (Some historians are claiming there was no formal recession.)

Can anyone point me to more detailed historical commentary on the internet? Thanks.

No need to start a new topic. What happened in 1945 is just what is being discussed under “Gaps in History.”
